CNOSF advises maintaining DNCG exclusion of Bordeaux, liquidation threat grows | OneFootball

Bordeaux’s bid to rejoin the national championships has been rejected by the CNOSF conciliator, making judicial liquidation a credible prospect.

According to L'Équipe, the CNOSF recommended upholding the DNCG’s exclusion. For now the club are listed in pool B of Regional one in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

The DNCG ruling of 30 June was confirmed on 15 July, prompting a CNOSF appeal on 27 July. Despite Lopez transferring shares for one euro on 31 July and Sparta Capital injecting 10.6 million euros to fund the season and clear arrears, the opinion remained unfavourable.

Plan commissioner Franck Michel could now ask the commercial court to end the continuation plan early, citing an irretrievably compromised economic, social and financial position, a step towards opening liquidation of the SASP.

If liquidation opens, a court-appointed liquidator could invite takeover bids, with the commercial court selecting an offer or rejecting all. Failing a sale, assets would be sold.

Lopez could also face a mismanagement sanction request which, if granted, carries up to 15 years of disqualification and potential personal liability for remaining debt. The club’s last hope is to reject the conciliation and seek an urgent suspension at the administrative court within 15 days. The Nouvelle-Aquitaine league will review Bordeaux’s finances and, after a board vote, decide the division within roughly a week.
