The French Football Federation has responded after the CNOSF advised upholding the DNCG ruling that excludes Bordeaux from national competitions.
The federation said in a statement that it had taken note of the CNOSF’s conciliation proposal, which invites SA FCGB to abide by the contested decision and deems the DNCG appeal commission’s assessment of the club’s finances to be well founded. It added that any challenge now rests with SA FCGB, not the FFF, should the club choose to continue down the legal route.
The response followed an unfavourable CNOSF opinion issued on Saturday morning regarding a possible reinstatement to the national leagues.
Bordeaux did not receive a favourable view despite Gérard Lopez transferring his shares on 31 July to Sparta Capital for a symbolic one euro, and a 10.6 million euro injection from Sparta Capital.
As things stand, the club is registered in Group B of Régional 1 within the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league.
