Chelsea’s attacking midfielder Cole Palmer’s future has been in the rumour mill this past week or so, and Fabrizio Romano has just spoken on it.
The transfer expert is the latest to report on Palmer’s future and what it might look like, with some believing that he could be unhappy at Chelsea.
Everyone has had their say on Palmer, and even manager Liam Rosenior has pretty much said that everything is fine with the player and he’s not unhappy as far as he’s aware.
But before all of that, we had seen the Palmer transfer speculation increase amidst Manchester United links and talk of him being homesick from Manchester.
A lot of Chelsea fans have been getting concerned but really, it’s all just been a lot of noise and nothing much conclusive has come out.

As cited on X, Romano said:
‘Cole Palmer and his camp have sent ZERO messages to Chelsea in regard to being unhappy at the club. Chelsea believe he HAS to be a key part of their project, it’s a must. If one day he left Chelsea, would be for absolutely CRAZY money.’
So, he’s not unhappy. Of course, anything can happen in football and really, no player is ever completely untouchable. Every player does have a price, but it sounds like it would have to be a ridiculous sum to make Chelsea consider selling Palmer.
You do wonder whether they would change their stance at all if Palmer himself came in and put in a transfer request. That could change things as surely no club would want to keep a player who wants out? But we aren’t there yet anyway so it’s all good.
