¿Cómo llegó Tobías Ramírez a River?

According to Radiogol.com, 19-year-old defender Tobías Ramírez arrives from Argentinos Juniors and will sign a contract running to December 2029. The coaching staff will assess him on arrival.

The move was enabled by authorisation from the Argentine Football Association to extend the quota following the departure of Matías Galarza Fonda, which allowed negotiations to progress quickly.

Argentinos say the sale closed at 5 million dollars for 80 percent of his rights, while River maintain the fee was closer to 3.5 million.

He is due at River Camp next week to be evaluated by Eduardo Coudet’s staff. The plan is a physical reconditioning, as he has played only two matches this year.

River face Belgrano next, then debut in the Copa Sudamericana. It is not ruled out that Ramírez could be considered in the short term.
