Confirmed: Real Madrid duo Bellingham, Cucurella start in England vs Spain | OneFootball

With the first international break of the 2026/27 season underway, teams in Europe are kicking off the UEFA Nations League group stages.

World champions Spain will be taking on England tonight at Wembley in their first match since the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the lineups for both teams have now been announced.

And, Real Madrid have two players starting at Wembley, one each on either team.

For England, Jude Bellingham features from the get-go, just a day after being named the England Men’s Player of the Year for 2025/26.

The midfielder has made a brilliant start to the new season at Real Madrid and will be eager to extend that form on the international stage as well.

As for Spain, Los Blancos’ summer signing, Marc Cucurella, starts at left-back, just like he had done all through the World Cup.

The defender has not been at his best since joining Real Madrid and will be hoping to rediscover his best form which was on showcase throughout the World Cup.

Dean Huijsen, who is the other Real Madrid player in the Spain squad, is benched as Luis de la Fuente has opted for the centre-back partnership of Aymeric Laporte and Pau Cubarsi which was successful at the World Cup.
