CONMEBOL confirms officials for Palmeiras v Cerro Porteño last-16 tie | OneFootball

CONMEBOL confirmed on Friday the refereeing team for the Copa Libertadores last 16, including Palmeiras v Cerro Porteño. The first leg is on Wednesday at 19:30 at Nubank Parque, with Uruguayan Gustavo Tejera appointed as referee.

The match officials are drawn almost entirely from Uruguay.

Tejera has been on FIFA’s international list since 2018, debuting outside Uruguay in the 2019 Copa Sudamericana. He has refereed in the Libertadores since 2020.

He worked the 2025 Club World Cup. At the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, he took charge of Mexico v South Korea in the group stage and Australia v Egypt in the last 16.

The full team comprises assistant referees Nicolas Taran and Carlos Barreiro, fourth official Mathias de Armas, VAR Leodan Gonzalez, AVAR Diego Dunajec, referees’ assessor Hector Baldassi and quality manager Carlos Pastorino.
