Conmebol has fined Corinthians US$ 23,000, about R$ 124,000, for four breaches during the 2026 Libertadores.
According to Meu Timao, the penalties were based on the Club Manual, Disciplinary Code and Security Regulations, and will be deducted automatically from broadcast and sponsorship monies due to the club.
The largest, US$ 8,000, concerned non-compliance with rules governing post-match interviews with players. Three further fines of US$ 5,000 each were imposed for failing to send all listed players through the mixed zone, supporter misconduct affecting the opponents’ delegation at their hotel or in transit, and allowing an oversized hand-held flag beyond the permitted limit.
After the defeat by Estudiantes that confirmed their elimination, defender Gustavo Henrique and forward Memphis Depay did not appear in the stadium’s mixed zone, breaching Conmebol instructions.
Corinthians had previously been fined US$ 56,000 for separate infractions earlier in the campaign, and they also lost Raniele to a quarter-final dismissal.
The club has been warned that any recurrence of similar offences could trigger further measures under the Disciplinary Code, and the ruling carries no right of appeal.
