Copenhagen confirm final step remaining for Roony Bardghji transfer to Barcelona | OneFootball

Roony Bardghji, the 19-year-old winger from Copenhagen, is on the verge of completing a transfer to FC Barcelona for a fee of €2 million.

The Catalan club plans to finalise the deal in the coming days, while the Danish side has now publicly acknowledged the ongoing negotiations and confirmed that only the medical exam remains.

Final step

Bardghji, whose contract with Copenhagen expires in December, has already given his personal approval to join Barcelona.

The La Liga champions expect him to be part of the squad for pre-season training under Hansi Flick at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Copenhagen’s sporting director, Peter Christiansen Smith-Nielsen, stated in comments to 365scores Arabic (h/t Mundo Deportivo): “There are advanced talks with Barcelona to sign Roony Bardghji.”

The executive added: “We have received a very attractive offer from Barcelona for Bardghji. We are currently in discussions with Roony and his representatives to finalise all agreements.”

The Copenhagen director confirmed that “we expect the player to soon undergo his medical with Barcelona, after which the deal will be officially completed.”

Born in Kuwait and of Syrian descent, Bardghji has been on Barcelona’s radar for over a year. Now, the teenage winger will complete his move to the Catalan club on a deal worth €2 million and is expected to sign a long-term contract.
