Carlos Corberán indicated Valencia could still make one more signing before the window shuts, speaking ahead of the LaLiga match at Real Betis in La Cartuja. He said the market remains open and nothing can be ruled out until the deadline.
According to Superdeporte, the roadmap remains unchanged from earlier in the week. If there is a departure, the target is a winger or a centre-back able to contribute immediately. Without an exit, the club would look at adding an under-23 on a B-team registration and is open to any position.
The January window closes at 23:59 on Monday 2 February. Valencia have already added Guido Rodríguez, Unai Núñez and Umar Sadiq.
Corberán said the squad has been reinforced with three registrations, and that the main negative was the loss of Diakhaby. He noted that a player has arrived in his position and in two other areas they considered, and most of the business is done, but late movement cannot be dismissed. The aim remains to raise competitiveness.
He also stressed that the group looks just as united and focused on the need to win, and on producing a good display to secure victories.
