Corberán reappears with Unai Emery and Sarabia in Marbella | OneFootball

Carlos Corberán, dismissed by Valencia on 13 September, has made his first public appearance since leaving Mestalla. The Valencian coach visited Unai Emery’s Aston Villa at their Marbella training camp during the international break.

The meeting was shared by Eder Sarabia, the former Elche coach. À Punt reported at the time of Corberán’s dismissal that Sarabia had been on Valencia’s shortlist before the club opted for Javier Aguirre.

The image carried a nostalgic note, packed with former Valencia figures. Pablo Rodríguez, Voro’s assistant in 2020, and Chema Sanz, previously an analyst alongside Rubén Baraja, now serve on Emery’s backroom team and appeared in Villa colours.

Also pictured was Damià Vidagany, once Valencia’s head of communications and now Aston Villa’s director of operations.

Ex-defender Federico Fazio and Héctor Fernández, Sarabia’s agent, completed the group shot.

Corberán had departed quietly, thanking the club for the opportunity after poor results.

Emery, credited as the main organiser of the get-together, stood between Corberán and Sarabia in the photo.
