Valencia visit Villarreal on Sunday with Carlos Corberán boosted by the return of Thierry Rendall, plus Copete and Danjuma in contention. According to Superdeporte, Diego remains out and Lucas Beltrán is a doubt with a knee issue.

After a heavy setback at Balaídos, Valencia have won two of their last three, the other a last-gasp defeat to Betis. This trip again tests their away form against one of LaLiga’s strongest home sides.

Corberán said he stays focused on his players’ performance and reiterated the club would move in the market in the coming hours following Foulquier’s injury. He declined to discuss footballers who are not part of the squad.

Right-back Renzo Saravia arrived in Spain, landing in Madrid during the coach’s news conference, and is due in Valencia in the coming hours. His situation is not yet official.

Valencia have de-registered Foulquier from LaLiga and are seeking extra right-back cover in a difficult free agent market. Internally, Javi Guerra’s bright cameo against Levante and Unai Núñez’s work at centre-back and full-back have also added solutions.
