Villarreal step up La Cerámica and Llaneza training centre upgrades | OneFootball

Villarreal are accelerating the modernisation of Estadio de la Cerámica and the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza, with work progressing on both sites as the 2026/27 season begins.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the twin projects aim to upgrade the first-team stage and daily base for the club’s structure and academy, with images showing progress in recent weeks.

Inside La Cerámica, new vomitories and circulation corridors are being built to ease supporter movement, improve access and enhance matchday safety.

Outside, at the junction of Fondo Norte and Tribuna, a new annex is rising to add spaces for sporting use, parking and services. The plan situates the stadium’s new dressing rooms there, freeing space inside.

President Fernando Roig said the wider scheme will run for several more months, with full completion placed between February and March 2027.

At the José Manuel Llaneza complex, Villarreal have acquired a further 10,000 square metres, taking the site to 130,000 m² as part of a phased modernisation.

The new land hosts an 11-a-side pitch that can convert into two eight-a-side pitches, expanding training options for the youth teams.

There are also three five-a-side fields for children aged three to five enrolled on the club’s Psychomotricity Course.

A double-sided stand is taking shape, with views over the new pitch and the existing pitch five, improving conditions for families and fans.

A second phase will reorganise current spaces and add new areas, progressively adapting Miralcamp to the needs of a growing academy.
