Corberán says Valencia could enter market after right-back injuries

Valencia have a right-back problem after Foulquier underwent surgery on his left knee. The defender is expected to be out for more than four months.

Thierry Correia has had a month out with muscle issues and is sidelined again with oedema in the same area, leaving Corberán without a reliable option. According to Tribuna Deportiva, one of the favourites to fill the role is Renzo Saravia.

Corberán has said going into the market is a possibility, aware of the peculiarities of recruiting for that position.

Valencia can seek a deregistration and sign a free agent even though the window is closed, a situation that mirrors Diakhaby’s case.

The pool of unattached right-backs is sizeable. Saravia, an Argentine aged 32, is currently without a club after leaving Atlético Mineiro in Brazil.
