Corberán turns attention to Santamaría amid Valencia’s registration squeeze | OneFootball

Valencia trained at Paterna this morning, with Santamaría under the spotlight as squad decisions loom and a visit to Betis awaits on Sunday.

According to AS, Unai Núñez and Guido Rodríguez worked with the group and could be named in the travelling squad. The team rest on Thursday, then return on Friday.

Agirrezabala, Diakhaby, Thierry and Tárrega continued treatment and did not train. Foulquier worked in the gym, while Copete completed the first part before stopping. Neither is ruled out for Sunday, with workloads managed this week.

The French midfielder has had few opportunities under Corberán and did not finish all drills with the group today. The winter window closes on two February and he is among those considered for an exit.

With Sadiq, Unai Núñez and Guido Rodríguez arriving, Valencia are out of registration slots and need a departure to make another signing.

After the session, the squad and staff ate together, a chance for the three new recruits to settle in.
