Corinthians and Santos lead 2026 with 41 injuries each. Chapecoense are third, São Paulo and Vitória complete the top five, while Vasco and Bahia have the fewest.
During the international break, Série A clubs are clearing treatment rooms. According to Globo.com, 600 injury absences have been logged across the league this season.
For Corinthians, top scorer Yuri Alberto, eight goals, has been out for over a month and has missed 18 matches. At Santos, Vini Lira, Gabriel Menino and Gustavo Henrique have missed the most. Neymar was rested in eight games, suffered a right calf oedema in May and a grade 2 rectus femoris injury in his right thigh, and has been sidelined since early September.
Chapecoense, bottom of the Brasileirão, have 40 cases. They recorded eight surgical cases, the most in Série A, with Corinthians, São Paulo and Vitória next on six each.
Vasco have the fewest injuries, 15 across 54 matches. Brenner has a left foot ligament issue since early August and has missed 15 games.
Bahia had 14 players miss at least one match in 2026, with Ruan Pablo absent for 27. Goalkeeper Léo Vieira ruptured his right patellar tendon and has been out since late May. Vitória’s Edu has missed 47 matches with a left Achilles rupture, and team-mate Dudu has not played since 17 February after spinal surgery.
Chapecoense’s Robert is third for individual absences after a left knee anterior cruciate ligament rupture in February. The ranking counts injuries from January 2026, so players hurt earlier are excluded, such as Athletico-PR’s Gustavo Gomes, who ruptured the same ligament in September 2025 and again a year later and has not featured this year.
