Corinthians beat Pato 2-0 as women’s futsal and Chute Inicial youngsters visit

Corinthians beat Pato 2-0 on eight August to close the final round of the Liga Nacional de Futsal classification phase, on a night that also welcomed the club’s women’s futsal players and Chute Inicial youngsters to the Ginásio Wlamir Marques.
According to Meu Timao, Corinthians have partnered with Tiger Futsal in women’s futsal since 2025. Tiger Futsal was founded in 2000, and the project is São Paulo state’s only programme competing in every women’s futsal age group, with more than 60 titles, 34 of them won unbeaten.
Trials are open for girls born between 2007 and 2019, with registration via the project’s online form. After submitting, applicants await scheduling through the WhatsApp community, and those approved will be able to play official competitions for Corinthians.
Chute Inicial, the club’s official network of academies, has more than 90 units in Brazil and abroad, and also fields girls-only teams. In July, the Brabinhas under-14s won the Série Ouro at the IberCup, one of the leading international youth tournaments.
On court, the win left Corinthians 11th at the end of the first phase, setting up a pre-quarter-final rematch with Pato. The first leg is on 28 September at 21:30 at the Ginásio Wlamir Marques, with the return on three October at 17:00 at the Arena Cláudio Petrycoski in Paraná.
Before then, Corinthians lead the Campeonato Paulista on 29 points. Fernando Malafaia’s side visit Magnus on 27 August at 20:00 at the Arena Sorocaba in the 12th round.
