Corinthians have again failed to pay image-rights fees to the men’s first-team squad, leaving part of their pay outstanding for the past two months.

According to ge.globo, the latest instalment fell due on Thursday 20 and was not settled. There had been a chance of payment on Friday, but the resolution should now be handled next week.

Last month followed a similar pattern. The board led by Osmar Stabile paid on 20 July the fees relating to May, yet obligations for June and July remain unmet.

Bonuses also remain overdue. The squad have not yet received the incentives agreed between players and Osmar Stabile for the Libertadores group stage and the first round of the Brasileirão.

The club based at Parque São Jorge is in a strained financial position. Corinthians carry debts of R$ 2.7 billion and currently face three transfer bans, two issued by Fifa and one by the CNRD, totalling roughly R$ 21.5 million in pending amounts.

The most recent ban, recorded on 21 July, involves about R$ 6.2 million tied to the signing of midfielder Charles. Another Fifa block from 21 May relates to the arrival of midfielder José Martínez. A third sanction was applied by the CBF on the 18th after a delay in paying around R$ 8 million, the fifth instalment of a CNRD agreement.

In August, the club also delayed first-team wages, which were paid on the 10th. The women’s team have endured a third straight month of late payment.
