Corinthians extend winning run in Novo Basquete Brasil, equal record

Corinthians is experiencing a great moment in the 2025/26 season of the Novo Basquete Brasil. In the last round, Timão defeated São José Basketball 103 to 95, away from home, at the Ginásio Lineu de Moura, and achieved their sixth consecutive victory in the competition.

This positive streak matches the club's longest winning run since November 2025, when Corinthians also strung together six straight results in the NBB. The recent surge began on January 17, with a victory over R10 Score Vasco da Gama by 75 to 67, at São Januário. Two days later, the Alvinegro overcame Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas by 74 to 73, at Ginásio Oscar Zelaya.

Already in February, Timão kept up the pace. On the 7th, they scored 96 to 76 over Fortaleza Basquete Cearense, at Wlamir Marques. Next, they defeated Unifacisa Basquete by 81 to 75 and, in a direct duel at the top of the table, beat Mogi das Cruzes Basquete by 82 to 75. The sixth triumph came against São José, consolidating the team's strong offensive moment, surpassing the 100-point mark and showing consistency on both ends of the court.

The current streak repeats the performance achieved in November 2025, when Corinthians racked up wins over Botafogo (90 to 75), Fortaleza (98 to 82), Unifacisa (105 to 75), São José (78 to 64), Pato (87 to 68), and Mogi (70 to 67). The unbeaten run ended with an 80 to 71 loss to Franca, at Ginásio Pedrocão.

This good run has taken the Alvinegro Paulista to the top part of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) standings. With 20 wins and eight losses in 28 rounds played, Timão currently sits in fifth place in the national tournament.

The next commitment of the season is once again in the competition. On March 7, a Saturday, Corinthians will go to Ginásio do Sesi, in Pato Branco, Paraná, to face Pato Basquete in the 29th round of the NBB. The game will start at 6:00 PM (Brasília time).
