Corinthians Futsal celebrate progress in Paulista Championship

Besides taking the lead in the decisive match against Campo Mourão in the National Futsal League (LNF), Corinthians is also qualified for the final of the Paulista Futsal. On Rádio Coringão, Marlon, Maicon, and Kelvin spoke about the performance and the rotation promoted by the coaching staff.

“I am very grateful to my teammates who helped me a lot with this. Today, I think we didn't play a great game. It might have been our worst game in the playoffs. I was having a terrible match, but we knew how to compete, even at a very low level, and managed to stay ahead on the scoreboard. We knew the importance of winning this game, advancing to the next stage, and I was able to score a goal at the end of the game”, said Marlon, one of the standout players of the team in this final stretch of the season.

Another standout name for Corinthians has been Maicon. He scored one of the goals in the second victory against Ferroviária Pinda, celebrated the goal, and emphasized focus on the qualification. The People's Team will face Magnus, who arrives with a sense of revenge due to the LNF playoffs.

“Semifinal of the championship, every player wants to score a goal. Especially the way it happened, the game was tough. We have a great team that I think never gives up on the game. I think the goal was important, but the most important thing is the victory. Scoring or not, what matters to me is reaching the final, putting the Corinthians emblem where it should be. I am very happy with the victory, even more with my goal“, said the young player.

Due to the few days of rest, the coaching staff has been rotating the squad, including the goalkeepers. Lucas Oliveira has been the starter in the National League, while Kelvin plays in the Paulista and made important saves that took the team to the grand final.

“It's very important, right, this shows the confidence that Malafaia has in us, right, after being there, the three of us […] This shows the confidence he has in all of us in this rotation, and it's very good for us, and thank God today we were able to play a great game and are in the final“, said Kelvin after the final whistle.

Corinthians' next commitment is on Thursday (27), for the LNF. Due to the victory in the first leg, Timão only needs a draw at Wlamir Marques to seal the qualification for the grand final.
