Corinthians injured quartet ‘return to training’ early in international break | OneFootball

Four injured Corinthians players attended CT Joaquim Grava on Wednesday to step up treatment during the international break, with the rest of the squad due to report back on Friday.

Ge.globo reports that the early return was scheduled by the club. The quartet are Gabriel Paulista, Zakaria Labyad, Kayke and Yuri Alberto.

Of those under medical care, Yuri Alberto's recovery is the most advanced and he should be available to Fernando Diniz's side after the break.

Gabriel Paulista sustained a medial collateral ligament strain in his right knee last week and was left out against Fluminense.

Zakaria Labyad is rehabbing a meniscus problem as well as a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Kayke also has a left-knee ACL injury.

Another player in recovery is André Carrillo, who has muscle oedema in the back of his left thigh. He is in Orlando with Peru, training separately with ball work, and is not expected to face the United States on Saturday.

Corinthians have 32 points, are without a win in six in the Brasileirão and sit 14th. They are three points ahead of Grêmio in 17th on 29.

After the break they visit Internacional at Beira-Rio on seven October, a Wednesday, at 19:30, in the 29th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
