Corinthians will be without Breno Bidon for Sunday’s Campeonato Brasileiro clássico against Santos after his third yellow card in the draw with Coritiba triggered an automatic ban.

As reported by Diario Do Peixe, the absence leaves Fernando Diniz with a midfield problem for the derby.

The booking arrived in the first half. While waiting for a corner, Bidon exchanged words with Thiago Santos in the area, referee Anderson Daronco stopped the restart and cautioned both players.

The setback comes with Corinthians’ squad already stretched. Several players are in the treatment room, although a free week before the clássico could help some return.

Out or recovering are Zakaria Labyad, ruptured ACL and meniscus in the left knee, Kayke, post ACL surgery, Vitinho, meniscus procedure, Yuri Alberto, right hamstring injury, André, right hamstring problem, Matheus Bidu, pubic pain and in physical transition, Matheuzinho, fitness issues, Alex Santana, knee trauma, and Pedro Raul, pubic pain.

Santos will also be without João Schmidt, who is suspended after his third booking in the 1-1 draw with Mirassol.

Corinthians face Santos on Sunday 30 at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena, the 25th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
