Corinthians midfielder leads Peruvians for most career titles

André Carrillo has won his third title wearing the Corinthians jersey, also boosting an individual statistic among Peruvian players. With the Supercopa do Brasil, the midfielder became the Peruvian-born player with the most titles in football history, tying with Claudio Pizarro, the striker who made history in European football.

The victory against Flamengo secured Carrillo his 19th career trophy, the same number as the aforementioned striker. In the Copa do Brasil, at the end of 2025, he had already become the second most successful Peruvian in history, with 18 titles. Now, he has equaled Pizarro and has the opportunity to surpass him, since Corinthians will still compete in the Paulistão, Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, and Libertadores in 2026.

In addition to national competitions, André Carrillo also won the Paulistão with Corinthians. He was a key player in the team's system, then managed by Ramón Díaz. Even with a turbulent second half of the season due to injuries, he continues to be used by the coaching staff, now led by Dorival Júnior.

In his career, the Peruvian began winning multiple titles in Europe after being developed by Allianza Lima in Peru. On the Old Continent, he lifted trophies with Sporting and Benfica. Later, he also became a champion in Saudi Arabia, with Al Hilal and Al Qadisiyah. In mid-2024, he arrived in Brazil and began his journey with the club from Parque São Jorge.

The list of the most successful Peruvians in history also includes a name well known to Corinthians fans. Paolo Guerrero, hero of the 2012 Club World Cup title against Chelsea, has already lifted 11 trophies in his career. Even at 42 years old, he remains active and plays for Allianza Lima in Peru.
