Corinthians plan player sales and prioritise mid-year window

Corinthians are preparing to sell players and will prioritise the mid-year window, though late bids could still arrive before the market closes next week.

According to Globo.com, the club views the mid-year period as squad-building time in Europe, when higher-value deals tend to emerge, unlike the shorter early-year window focused on replacements.

Academy duo Breno Bidon and Gui Negão are among the most valued players in the current squad.

The 2026 budget projects R$ 151 million from transfers, after last year’s target was not met.

Even so, new offers may land before this window shuts. Any proposal would be assessed on fee and percentage of economic rights, plus the technical impact of a departure and available replacements.

In recent days, Corinthians rejected a €18 million, R$ 112 million, offer from Fenerbahçe of Türkiye for striker Yuri Alberto.

Between last year and this year there have been eight departures, none via sales. Six contracts expired and two players, Félix Torres and Ryan, left on loan.

A loan with obligation to buy had been agreed for defender João Pedro Tchoca with Torino, but the Italian club failed him in medical tests. He will be reintegrated and wear number 4, ending the search for another centre-back.
