Corinthians plan sales, aim to keep key players for longer

In Corinthians' 2026 budget, the club foresees a series of sales projected at more than 180 million reais to meet the planning, as highlighted right at the presentation by the Executive Director of Football Marcelo Paz.

The information gathered by Central do Timão is that Corinthians currently sees the European transfer window at the end of this January as a replacement period. The club believes that the best offers should only arrive in the mid-year window when European clubs are more willing to spend more money on players from the Brazilian market. Timão believes it will take advantage of this and achieve the necessary transfer values.

The players attracting the most European interest and who could bring significant revenue to Corinthians are midfielders like Breno Bidon, already observed by Arsenal and having received a low offer from the English team last season. The management expects to make Bidon the most expensive sale in Corinthians' history, surpassing midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, who left for 20 million euros plus bonuses.

Another name stirring the market is the striker Yuri Alberto, who has already had two offers rejected in this window, from Lazio-ITA and more recently from Fenerbahçe, Turkey, with values of 22 million euros and 15M+ 3M euros, for 100% of the transfer. It should be noted that the club desires at least 23 million euros for its 50% of the player's economic rights.

In this current transfer window cycle, the club expected at least to finalize the sale of the young João Pedro Tchoca, who was to go on loan with a purchase obligation to Torino but was rejected in medical exams by the Italian team, a decision that surprised Corinthians, which chose to reintegrate the defender instead of trying to negotiate him again.
