Corinthians president submits written defence to São Paulo prosecutors over security firm probe | OneFootball

On Thursday, Osmar Stabile, the Corinthians president, submitted a written defence to the Ministério Público de São Paulo in a criminal inquiry into the hiring of a company providing his private security.

Investigators are examining Bear Security, which has protected Stabile and his family since July 2025. According to Sport Insider, the firm does not have Federal Police authorisation to operate in private security. The company has Corinthians as its only client and has been paid about R$ 587 thousand through 12 invoices.

Stabile had failed to attend earlier hearings scheduled by prosecutor Cássio Roberto Conserino and missed a 10-day deadline to file the document after a first session set for six August. He ultimately opted to deliver his defence in writing.

The prosecutors began looking into security providers at the Parque São Jorge club in May 2026, initially focusing on Mega Assessoria Operacional Ltda, responsible for club security between September and October 2025. The case has examined missing Federal Police clearance and the absence of a formal contract, with three invoices issued totalling R$ 676.6 thousand.

Mega Assessoria Operacional was registered to Fernando José da Silva, known as Nandão, then the club’s social department operations manager and now manager of the CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. The MP is also assessing whether that structure was used to bypass the club’s contracting rules. There has been no videoconference testimony, and four other witnesses have been heard.
