Corinthians are prioritising clearing outstanding payments to players by the end of July, according to Globo.com.

The club paid May image rights on Monday afternoon, which had fallen due on 20 June.

June image rights, also due on Monday, are expected to be settled next week. The club expects sponsorship funds from Fatal Fans in the coming days to help bring payments up to date and lift at least one active transfer ban.

There are three transfer bans in place. The first likely to be addressed is the smallest, a FIFA disciplinary fine of US$ 225,000, about R$ 1.151 million at current rates.

FIFA imposed that penalty last week over delays in meeting obligations tied to deals involving José Martínez of Philadelphia Union, Charles of Midtjylland and Talles Magno of New York City FC.

A separate FIFA ban arrived almost two months ago over Corinthians’ debt to Philadelphia Union from the 2024 signing of midfielder José Martínez. The third stems from a late instalment under a CNRD agreement at the CBF.
