Corinthians have made player sales the priority this window, aiming to move two or three from the senior squad to balance accounts and clear short-term debts before pursuing signings. According to Meu Timao, this includes liabilities behind the FIFA transfer ban tied to José Martínez’s arrival from Philadelphia Union.
The club must also address issues linked to Charles and to renewing Talles Magno’s loan in 2025, which could trigger further international sanctions. Only after resolving these will the board review finances to define any search for reinforcements.
Midfielders André Luiz and Breno Bidon, plus striker Yuri Alberto, are seen as leading candidates to depart amid international interest. In February, an agreement advanced with Milan to sell 70% of André’s rights for 15 million euros, with a further two million euros in add-ons, but it collapsed. Yuri has reiterated a desire to play in Europe, and Fenerbahçe of Türkiye offered 18 million euros in January, which was rejected.
Europe’s main windows are open until the end of August. In Brazil, registrations run from 20 July to 11 September, with an exceptional domestic window from 10 to 18 July due to the 19th round being brought forward.
With debt near R$ 2.7 billion, Corinthians set a 2026 budget target of R$ 151 million in player sales. The FIFA sanction, triggered by late payment to Philadelphia Union for Martínez, prevents registrations for the next three windows. Following a FIFA ruling and a rejected CAS appeal, the club must pay 1.425 million dollars plus 15% annual interest and charges.
In early June, the club were ordered to pay 850,000 dollars to New York City FC over Talles Magno’s loan renewal, though an appeal is still possible. A CAS decision also requires more than R$ 6 million to FC Midtjylland for breaching an agreement on Charles, with non-payment risking another transfer ban.
Internally, salaries under CLT for the professional squad have been delayed in recent months, and image rights due on 20 June remain unpaid. The women’s team had June image rights settled only on Tuesday, 22 days late, and further commitments to players, staff and coaches are outstanding.
Installments from the Women’s Libertadores title bonus are still pending. The group are also owed 80% of the prize from the Copa das Campeãs da Fifa, with R$ 5.3 million received by the club not yet fully distributed. Academy stipends in June were paid about two weeks late.
