Corinthians slipped into the Campeonato Brasileiro relegation zone after a goalless draw with Vitória in Salvador in the 12th round on Saturday. According to Meu Timao, it is their first time in the bottom four in 548 days.

The result allowed Cruzeiro, who began the round in 17th, to overtake the Itaquera side and drop them into Z4.

Corinthians had last ended a round there in match 30 of the 2024 Brasileiro, when they beat Athletico Paranaense 5-2 on 17 October and launched a nine-game winning streak.

A run of nine league matches without a win had already left them hovering in 16th for at least two rounds.

Since 2023, they have finished 27 rounds inside Z4 across 126 league fixtures, which represents 21% of that period.

Corinthians’ next league match is against Vasco on Sunday 26 April at 16:00. Before that, they face Barra of Santa Catarina on Tuesday at 21:30 in their Copa do Brasil opener.
