Corinthians had a busy Thursday, pausing a stadium repayment, seeing a sponsorship halted by a court, and facing a setback to the SAFiel project. According to Meu Timao, the developments unfolded as follows.
The club agreed with Caixa Econômica Federal to suspend the third 2026 instalment of the Neo Química Arena refinancing. Amid ongoing naming-rights talks, the move will save around R$ 27 million.
A São Paulo court ordered the suspension of the Corinthians-Fatal Fans sponsorship. The Child and Youth Court at the Tatuapé Regional Forum banned the brand’s promotion and display, and it currently appears on the men’s team shorts.
Meanwhile, SAFiel’s architects said the project is not expected to progress under the current board.
Carlos Teixeira and Eduardo Salusse said Osmar Stabile had not provided the responses they expected for negotiations to advance.
