Corinthians are exploring the market for companies to help finance a renewed contract for Memphis Depay. According to Meu Timao, the club is seeking partners to support the forward’s wages.
The club has already sounded out two firms, with no concrete answers yet, though both were open to talks.
The No 10 is open to negotiating his stay, and talks could take place during the World Cup.
Corinthians plan to settle their dispute with Talleres of Argentina over the Rodrigo Garro transfer, which is in its final phase, before entering any discussions with the Dutchman.
Depay signed in September 2024 on a package including a signing-on fee, appearance, goal and assist bonuses, salary and image rights. Esportes da Sorte, the club’s main sponsor, covers part of his pay.
His deal runs to 20 June 2026, the only one in the squad that ends mid-season. There are 68 days left on his contract and he is 32.
