Corinthians settle final overdue image rights instalment for women before Bahia semi-final | OneFootball

Corinthians on Tuesday afternoon paid the second and final instalment of overdue image rights owed to their women's squad, more than two weeks after settling the first part, according to Meu Timao.

Last month the Brabas met Osmar Stabile at Parque São Jorge to press for June and July arrears. The club had pledged two Friday instalments, but the second was delayed.

The payment comes on the day Corinthians play Bahia in the semi-final of the Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino, the first leg at 21:30 at Arena Fonte Nova.

Regularising the debt removes the immediate risk of players seeking unilateral contract termination. Under prevailing legal understanding, this can be requested once delays exceed three months, which could see the club lose players without compensation.

Despite clearing the image-rights backlog, other sums remain outstanding. The squad have yet to receive the award for the 2025 Libertadores triumph, plus prize money for runners-up finishes in the 2026 Copa das Campeãs and Supercopa do Brasil.

Tuesday is also the scheduled date for August image-rights payments, due on the 15th. The payment made covered only overdue amounts, and the August instalment has not yet been paid.

The club settled the arrears using its own funds, without sponsor participation such as Fatal Fans. Corinthians also contest the Paulista play-in against Red Bull Bragantino and are due to travel to Ecuador in October for the Libertadores.
