Corinthians ‘to agree’ free deal for Jesse Lingard

Corinthians are in advanced talks to sign Jesse Lingard, 33, who has been without a club since leaving FC Seoul at the end of last year. Lingard is maintaining his fitness.

The player was offered to the club in recent days and is expected to agree a free deal until the end of the current season, ESPN reported.

Club directors are set to meet head coach Dorival Júnior and his staff in the coming hours to brief them on the progress. Lingard held talks with Remo last week, but those discussions did not move forward.

Developed at Manchester United, Lingard also had spells with Derby County, West Ham and Nottingham Forest in England.

He joined FC Seoul in 2024, playing 67 games with 19 goals and 11 assists across the last two seasons.
