Corinthians will determine Memphis Depay’s future on Tuesday, 11 August, with a decision due on whether he stays or leaves Parque São Jorge.

Back in Brazil, Depay passed cardiological, physiotherapy and MRI checks, along with physical tests. He is awaiting the outcome to sign and rejoin training under Diniz.

He watched Thursday’s 2-1 win over Internacional from a box at Neo Química Arena in the Copa do Brasil last 16, though Corinthians went out after a 2-0 first-leg defeat.

Depay has not played since 25 June, when the Netherlands beat Tunisia 3-1 in the World Cup group stage. In 2026 he has 14 club appearances, with one goal and one assist.
