According to Café do Setorista, Corinthians have enquired about Ceará midfielder Dieguinho, 30, despite a current transfer ban.
The club sought information from the player’s representatives, who relayed the interest to Ceará. Ceará have not opened talks and indicated they would only enter negotiations if a fee were paid.
Dieguinho arrived at Ceará at the start of last year after four seasons with Goiás. He started 31 of 32 matches in a campaign that ended in relegation to Série B, registering two assists. He is valued for his versatility, having also featured at right-back.
He started both Brasileirão meetings with Corinthians, each finishing 1-0 to the visiting side. His contract runs until 31 December 2026.
Corinthians plan to settle what is owed to Santos Laguna for centre-back Félix Torres and to regularise the transfer ban with the CNRD by 5 January. The registration window opens on Monday.
The squad is being reshaped for early 2026. Forwards Romero and Talles Magno have not renewed, while midfielder Alex Santana, centre-back Renato and right-back Fagner are out of the plans.
Left-back Angileri remains in talks over an extension, and Maycon has interest from Atlético Mineiro. Pedro Raul has returned from a loan at Ceará. Corinthians open their season on Sunday 11 at 16:00 against Ponte Preta at Neo Química Arena in the Paulistão.
