Coritiba host Athletico Paranaense in the Brasileirão on Saturday, 12 September 2026 at Estádio Major Antônio Couto Pereira, with the visitors aiming to cement a top four place and the hosts looking to strengthen their Sudamericana hopes.
Athletico Paranaense are third on 45 points, while Coritiba are seventh with 37. Athletico Paranaense won March's league meeting 2-0, adding an edge to this rematch.
Coxa have taken three wins and a draw in their last five league games, slipping only to Mirassol last time out. Athletico-PR's recent run reads two wins, two draws and a defeat, including a 3-1 loss at Cruzeiro.
Coxa-Branca are without defender Tinga and forwards Keno, Brian Ocampo and Lucas Ronier. For Furacão, forward Renan Viana and defenders Léo Derik, Claudinho and Arthur Dias are sidelined.
Athletico-PR have scored 38 and conceded 28 this season, with 83.21% passing and 50.2% shooting accuracy. League top scorer Kevin Viveros leads their threat with 17 goals. Coxa average 40% possession, have eight headed goals and a 26.38% cross accuracy, while Pedro Rocha and Breno Lopes are joint club top scorers on eight. Crosses and set plays could be a route for the hosts, while the visitors' sharper finishing may tell.
A win would move Athletico-PR to 48 points and could tighten their grip on the top four. Three points would lift Coxa to 40 and strengthen their position in the Sudamericana places.
