The Coupe de France féminine derby between ASSE and OL Lyonnes has been moved to the Stade des Ollières in L’Étrat because a cold snap has affected the pitch at Stade Salif-Keita. According to Le Progres, the switch comes after freezing conditions in recent days.
Plans are now settled for the Vertes. Initially set for Sunday 11 January, the match was rescheduled to Saturday 10 January at 14:30, then shifted to the synthetic surface at Stade des Ollières due to the cold snap in the Loire.
The change of venue should not alter much for ASSE. The ground can accommodate more than 1,000 spectators, with around 100 seats.
ASSE were beaten 1-6 at Geoffroy-Guichard in April 2024, then lost 0-2 at Stade Salif-Keita in September.
The Stéphanoises will now look to end that run a few kilometres away, where the Coupe de France might be kinder.
