Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi is reportedly close to joining Premier League newcomers Coventry City on a permanent deal after four years at the City Ground.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the clubs have agreed a deal, with a medical taking place this weekend, and that Coventry will pay 17 million.
Awoniyi arrived in 2022 for a then club-record 17.2 million and struck decisive winners against Liverpool and Arsenal to help keep Forest in the top flight.
He scored 10 league goals in 2022/23, then injuries curtailed his impact and he slipped behind Chris Wood and Igor Jesus.
Last term he started only three Premier League games but still aided survival, scoring twice and supplying an assist in the 3-1 win over Chelsea in May, then netting in a 3-0 victory at Tottenham.
Coventry have strengthened Frank Lampard's squad for their first top-flight season in 25 years and have broken their transfer record three times this summer.
Carl Rushworth, Aurele Amenda and Caleb Yirenkyi have already arrived, with Awoniyi lined up to lead the line for Lampard.
