The Red and Greens confirmed the deals via a post on their official club Twitter account this evening. Both players move to The Butts Park Arena on season-long loan arrangements.
Goalkeeper Heeps joined Tottenham Hotspur last summer after leaving former club Liverpool. The youngster spent time on loan at Blackburn Rovers to further her development and she made four appearances for the Lancashire club in the Barclays Women’s Championship. Heeps recorded a clean sheet as Blackburn Rovers drew 0-0 at Watford in January.
Welsh international full-back Morgan is a real coup for Coventry United. The 20-year-old burst onto the scene at Spurs during the 2020/2021 season and put in a handful of impressive displays in the Barclays Women’s Super League for The Lilywhites. Morgan struggled for opportunities at Spurs last season and was loaned to Leicester City during the second half of the campaign, however, her season was cut short due to injury.
Heeps and Morgan add further quality to what is turning out to be an impressive Coventry United squad. New manager Lee Burch has done an excellent job with recruitment over the summer and the club now have a good chance of enjoying a successful season.
Coventry United travel to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United in their next match on Sunday.
