Faris Moumbagna left the pitch last Sunday against Parma after picking up a thigh injury late in the match. The Lombardy club has confirmed a muscle injury to his quadriceps, which will keep him out of action for several weeks.

Faris Moumbagna made his first appearance for Cremonese in Serie A on September 22, after joining the club on loan from Olympique de Marseille. Having just recovered from a cruciate ligament rupture in August 2024, he had only recently returned to the pitch in his new colors. Unfortunately, this comeback has been cut short by another injury.

Coming on as a substitute, the Cameroonian forward felt pain at the back of his thigh in the dying minutes of the game. A few days after his exit, the Italian club provided an update on their 25-year-old player.

"Faris Moumbagna underwent diagnostic tests which revealed a lesion of the flexor muscle. The striker has already begun his rehabilitation," US Cremonese announced this Friday, September 26, 2025. The length of his absence has not been specified.
