Roma is ready to face Midtjylland, top of the Europa League with a perfect record, on Matchday 5 of the League Phase.
Bryan Cristante and his teammates are on six points thanks to victories against Nice and Rangers.
The Danes have also won against Sturm Graz, Nottingham Forest, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Celtic.
Cristante spoke at a press conference alongside Gian Piero Gasperini from the press room at the Fulvio Bernardini Sports Center in Trigoria. “I’m trying to do my best, playing everywhere and trying to do my best what the coach asks of me. I can adapt to many positions, having played in all roles for many years,” the Giallorossi midfielder began, speaking of his versatility.
Roma got off to a great start and reached the top of Serie A.
Regarding the Scudetto, he said: “We know we’re doing well, but we need to keep our feet on the ground. It doesn’t take much to turn things around.”
He then added: “Right now, we’re doing well, and I think the fans have noticed that, too. We need balance; in such a long season, that’s crucial.”
Cristante, along with Mancini, already met Gasperini at Atalanta.
According to the Giallorossi’s number 4, the coach hasn’t changed. “I’ve found him the same way I met him in Bergamo. We know he is the right person to follow and that he will help us grow.”
The midfielder was part of the midfield that faced the Budapest final and recalled the emotions he experienced. “The final left a bitter taste in our mouths, but every season you have to move on. We can’t get lost in the past. We know how wonderful it is to play in finals and how wonderful it would be to bring it home.”
Finally, he set the goal of at least trying to relive that moment: “We want to do well so we can try again.”
