Cristian González’s first team coaching staff confirmed | OneFootball

According to Inter Miami, head coach Cristian González has finalised his first team staff, naming assistants Tomás Costa and Ricardo de Alberto, goalkeeping coach Ignacio Don, physical trainer Damián Hernandez, and video analysts Tomás Anastasi and Erik Marquis.

González made club history in his first match in charge, winning the 2026 Michelob ULTRA Campeones Cup 2-0 against Cruz Azul. He previously managed CA Rosario Central, CA Unión de Santa Fe and CA Platense between 2020 and 2025.

Costa reunites with González after spells together at Rosario Central and CA Unión de Santa Fe. As a player he featured in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, and for FC Porto and CFR Cluj.

Fellow assistant de Alberto worked with González at Rosario Central, CA Unión de Santa Fe and CA Platense. This is his first professional role outside Argentina.

Hernandez arrives as first team physical trainer after roles with Rosario Central, CA Unión de Santa Fe and CA Platense. He most recently served at Universidad Técnica de Cajamarca in Peru’s First Division.

Don enjoyed a long goalkeeping career, representing Paraguay and playing in Chile and Paraguay for clubs including Cerro Porteño and Libertad. He now becomes goalkeeping coach.

Anastasi links up again with González after working at Rosario Central from 2019 to 2024, then Racing Club in 2024-2025, before Montevideo City Torque in 2026. Marquis continues as a video analyst for a third year, having joined in 2023 via Inter Miami II after stints with LA Galaxy and Atlanta United FC.
