Cruzeiro take Grêmio to CNRD over Marlon transfer debt | OneFootball

Cruzeiro have taken Grêmio to the Câmara Nacional de Resolução de Disputas, CNRD, over a debt from the purchase of left-back Marlon.

The fee of 3.5 million dollars, about R$ 18 million, was split into 10 instalments. The clubs have not confirmed the outstanding sum, but, according to Globo.com, Grêmio have paid only the first instalment.

Cruzeiro turned to the chamber because of delays in payment. The Minas Gerais club is also pursuing an out-of-court agreement and views a solution with Grêmio outside the courts as viable.

Grêmio have been approached for comment.

Marlon arrived in Porto Alegre on loan from Reposa in April 2025. He reached the required number of starts to activate a permanent transfer and is under contract with Grêmio until 2028.
