Crystal Palace target Sidiki Chérif nearing Fenerbahce move | OneFootball

SCO Angers’ Sidiki Chérif (19), a target for Crystal Palace throughout the January transfer window, now looks set to slip through the Premier League side’s fingers.

Chérif was also the subject of bids from Paris FC, however, the Ligue 1 side were dealt a blow when it became clear that the player’s preference was for a move abroad. That meant that Les Parisiens pulled out of a potential deal. However, Crystal Palace have yet to find an agreement with Angers.

Laurent Boissier, Le Scos’ sporting director, stated last week that he did not intend for the striker to depart. But that now looks set to happen regardless, even if his destination is now not expected to be Selhurst Park. 

As reported by L’Équipe and confirmed by Foot Mercato, Chérif has opted against joining Crystal Palace. He is instead expected to join Fenerbahce. The Turkish club are confident of reaching an agreement with Angers.
