Eighteen-year-old Eintracht midfielder Love Arrhov on the training camp in Grassau, his personal goals and progress, boss Adi Hütter and having Mario Götze as a mentor.

Speaking from the Eagles’ training camp in Grassau, Swedish youngster Love Arrhov answered the media’s questions on …

… the training camp: “Grassau is a wonderful place for a training camp. The sessions are gruelling, but that’s just how it should be. We can tell our hard work is helping us make daily progress. I think that was evident in Sunday’s friendly (a 3-0 win over Trabzonspor).” 

… his goals: “It’s all about working as hard as I can every day and proving myself. It goes without saying that every player wants to be on the pitch. I’m still young, which means I have competition ahead of me. It’s up to me to lay the groundwork, then it’s up to the coach to make a decision.” 

… his progress: “Simply moving to another country brings challenges and opportunities to develop. The style of football in the Bundesliga is also different to what I was used to in Sweden. I’m happy to face these challenges head on.”

… the new head coach: “Adi Hütter has brought new energy and a lot of drive to our squad. We’re clicking as a group – us players get along very well with one another. That’s very important going into the new season.”                                                                                                                                          

… Mario Götze: “Mario is like a mentor to me. Like so many others, I’ve known about him since the 2014 World Cup. He gives me a lot of advice and I’m open to it. He doesn’t just help me, he looks out for all the young players. It means a lot to me.”
