Daniel Farke says Lucas Perri has been granted permission to leave Leeds United, with the club moving to line up Michael Zetterer as his replacement. According to Leeds Live, Perri has been filmed landing in Torino ahead of a loan with an option to buy, while Zetterer arrived in England on Friday ahead of a transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Farke cautioned that nothing is official until the paperwork is signed, so he would not discuss the deals publicly. He accepted that Perri had travelled and said Leeds are close to bringing in a goalkeeper.

Should Zetterer complete his move, he would be the fifth addition of the window after Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic, James Trafford and Nico Elvedi.

Leeds also want reinforcements in attack and at left-back, with a left winger on the list. Securing all three looks unlikely as the deadline approaches.

Farke argued that squad depth has not yet improved, pointing out there is currently one goalkeeper fewer and one outfield player fewer than last season. He likes the window so far but, having lost important performers, sees it as the club’s responsibility to stay active in the final days to maintain or improve levels.
