At 35, Daniel Opare has decided to hang up his boots. The Ghanaian right-back is retiring after shining for many years on European pitches.

It's the end of an era for Daniel Opare. The Accra-born defender is part of Ghana's golden generation, Ghana having lifted the 2009 U20 World Cup alongside André Ayew.

Capped 19 times for Ghana, he featured at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with the Black Stars, playing in the group stage defeat to the United States (1-2).
