According to Globo.com, Grêmio could hand Danilo Barbosa his debut on Sunday against Red Bull Bragantino at Cícero Marques de Souza. The midfielder has been included in the travelling group that arrived in Atibaia on Saturday night.

Head coach Luís Castro will be without centre-back Kannemann through suspension, plus Gustavo Martins, Nardoni and Dodi due to injury. In response, Paraguayan defender Balbuena returns to the squad for the first time since 30 July, when Grêmio lost to Bolívar.

In midfield, Villasanti returns, with Krovinovic expected to join him and Noriega. At the back, Wagner Leonardo is likely to partner Wallace, though Luis Eduardo is also an option.

Although primarily a midfielder, Danilo Barbosa has played at centre-back and could cover there. Marlon regains his place.
