David Beckham to receive Hollywood Walk of Fame star during 2026 World Cup

David Beckham will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles on 12 June, the day the United States play their first World Cup match in the city.

According to Le Progres, the ceremony will be held during the tournament staged in North America by the United States, Mexico and Canada, and actor Tom Cruise and Victoria Beckham will speak.

Ceremony producer Ana Martinez said the tribute is particularly meaningful given Beckham’s role in boosting football’s popularity in the United States and his lasting influence across sport, entertainment and global culture.

Aged 51, the former footballer is co-owner of Inter Miami CF.

The club signed Lionel Messi in 2023 and won the American championship last year.
