David Braz announced as Brasiliense signing in Série D | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Brasiliense have announced the signing of former Flamengo defender David Braz to bolster their Série D push.

The Distrito Federal club made the news public on social media after he left Ponte Preta in May.

The club said the 2023 Libertadores winner will reinforce the squad for the run-in.

Braz first joined Flamengo in July 2009 on loan from Panathinaikos, then signed permanently a year later. He made 99 appearances, scoring five goals and providing one assist.

He was involved in Flamengo’s 2009 Brasileirão triumph, scoring the equaliser in the decisive 2-1 comeback win over Grêmio on the final day, with Adriano and Petkovic prominent.

Brasiliense face Goiatuba on Sunday, 21, in the first leg of the Série D round of 32, kicking off at 16:00 Brasília time. If registered in time, Braz could be available.
