Red Bull New York have acquired midfielder David Ruíz on loan from Inter Miami CF through the end of the 2026 MLS season, the club announced Wednesday.

As part of the loan agreement, Miami receive $75,000 in 2027 General Allocation Money (GAM), while RBNY hold the option to purchase Ruíz at the conclusion of the loan.

The 22-year-old Honduran international joined Inter Miami in 2023 as a homegrown player.

He's tallied four goals and four assists in 82 matches with the Herons, and scored three goals in 10 caps with Honduras.

In 2024, Ruíz placed No. 21 overall on MLS's annual 22 Under 22 rankings.

“We are excited to welcome David to Red Bull New York and we look forward to helping him to take the next step in his career,” said RBNY head of sport Julian de Guzman. “David is a talented midfielder, who brings a combination of technical quality and competitiveness, and has already gained valuable MLS experience, and we believe his profile fits very well with the way we want to play.”
